Need To Lose A Few Pounds?

Losing weight is something many people want to do or just simply need to do for a myriad of reasons. If you find yourself in this category, you are not alone! Just imagine what your life could be like if you could lose those unwanted pounds from problem areas including your abdomen, hips, thighs, arms, buttocks and obliques without turning to quick fix diets or weight loss pills. Just think how much energy you could have to do the things you love. or how much more confidence and self-esteem you could have, if you met your weight loss goal and kept off those excess pounds once and for all.




Whether you have gained a few extra pounds that would not budge or you have been frustrated with lousy diets and weight loss pills that don’t work- there is good news and fortunately for you, you are in the right place. When I started coaching Jennifer, one of the things she expressed to me was her annoyance and frustration with people who seem to be able to eat seemingly large portions of food without getting fat. She was bothered that she was not even eating half as much as some of these people but she was still twice their size...."It's not fair!" she said. Well that was a few years ago until I introduced her to my weight loss program.

The principles and strategies I will share with you are the same that I used with Jennifer. There are many people who believe that sustainable weight loss is an impossible task, mainly because of past experience with diets promising quick results. How many times have you made resolutions that sounded like this:

 

"I want to lose 70 pounds this year" or "I am getting too fat, I need to lose some weight".

 

These are excellent ideas but will get you no results. Why? I am happy that you asked. It is simply because you have stated a desire and an observation, respectively, but have not developed a S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound) short or long term goal to help you achieve your goal. Here is an example:

  • “For the first two weeks of each month, I will decrease my sweet drinks consumption from three bottles per day to none per day.”

  • "For the month of June, I will eliminate all refined flour products from my diet.”

Both steps are specific, measurable, attainable, results focused, and time-bound.



Without the right tools, support and a Program Guide that is tailored to your goals, you are most likely to start and stop some where along the journey. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill for losing weight and neither is it an easy task. I guarantee that you can regain control of your health and wellness, wipe-out those stubborn pounds without having to starve yourself or become a victim to the lifestyle problems that plague many across the world.
